I don't open up to people easily. I have a major lack of self confidence when it comes to that. It's especially not easy for me to trust women. Which explains why after living in the south for almost five years, I have yet to develop any friendships down here. But I have six sisters. One of which I am still pretty close with despite her being up in Indiana. Today is her birthday and I sent her a little spa basket thing. She called this morning to thank me for it and to chat. We hadn't talked in quite awhile, but we had started to exchange letters again (something we used to do a lot when we were kids). She's actually my half sister. We share a father, but she grew up living with her mother and stepfather. Anyway, it was great to talk to her again. It reminded me that I'm not alone and that there is some support out there for me. I've e-mailed her a copy of the manuscript and she's going to read it and let me know what she thinks.
